Aspire proposes to support the UK and Europe ILS (Integrated Logistics Support)/support engineering/through life support resource pool by providing tailored training which not only enables the individual to gain knowledge and acquire skills but to understand their suitability for a role in these areas, therefore adding a self-selection element to the process.
Aspire will produce a short introductory video covering such subjects as: what is ILS (Integrated Logistics Support)/support engineering/through life support, what type of roles and challenges the individual might see and how that could relate to their previous experience in the armed services and the impact that they can make in these fields.
Aspire will then offer free in-person workshops at their training facility to go through a curriculum designed to expand upon the introductory video and using proven training materials and exercises with the added opportunity for individuals to share and explore challenges they have previously experienced.
Following this those who do decide that they are interested in a role in support engineering then they can sign up for Aspire’s self-paced online course with assessment and certification (this element carries a cost). This assessment and certification intends to boost the individuals’ CV above others highlighting their appropriateness for support engineering roles, their knowledge of best practices and proof of their skills.
There will then be the opportunity to join in with Aspire’s ‘open surgery’ regular networking events to continue the support established via the Aspire recruitment training support programme.
