A practical course which teaches the application and management of Logistic Support Analysis (LSA) within a System Engineering context. After a general introduction to Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) and LSA the course follows the LSA process through the system life cycle. In each phase of the life cycle the relevant theories and concepts are introduced and these are then consolidated by the performance of a series of practical exercises.
Designed to take a delegate, with no exposure to either failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA) or RCM, to the point where they can contribute to or review RCM analysis. Set in a workshop environment the delegates will gain firsthand experience of the RCM process and some of its more subjective topics. This course lays the knowledge foundation by exploring the generic principles of FMEA before moving on to using it during the overall RCM process.
This course is designed to provide the delegate with a high level of understanding of the Systems Approach to Training (SAT) coupled with a more detailed understanding of the Training Needs Analysis (TNA) and Course Design (CD) processes. The fundamental principles are established and then built upon using a combination of presentation techniques, informal delegate instructor interaction and formal scripted exercises.
The course begins by explaining the principles of the SAT and the Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT). The subsequent modules address the concepts and phases of the TNA and Course Design Elements of the UK MoD’s DSAT in more detail, including exercises to reinforce the principles.
